Coddling, and why I can't do it.

When we coddle our fellows and even ouselves during a suffering time, we encourage bad behavior which is ENABLING. It encourages the SUFFERER to stay in complacency because they're afraid of the change that must happen, or we drink.

Change comes and happens, no matter what. It's how we handle it that makes the difference. Today, I recognize that I have a choice. I can stay in the so called 'safe and comfortable' till my HP lovingly boots me out or I drink, or I can accept that change is inevitable, and a part of growth, and brought to me because I've leveled up and now I can handle more, and that this is a gift brought to me as a result of my own efforts....to grow, to be a better me today, than I was yesterday.

Change is inevitable, but how I handle it is how I choose the direction I take.

Coddling is not support, grief is not forever, growth is my best defense!
